One of the best things about being a photojournalist is that I get to meet all kinds of interesting people. Last week I covered three people who followed their passion, forged their own path, and graduated from college as “non-traditional students.” For those of you who don’t know, “non-traditional” usually applies to students who started, or went back to school, long after high school. I appreciate that path, since I graduated from SVSU (Go Cardinals) after I had four children, and I got my Master degree after I had at least four grandchildren.
This week, join me in saying congratulations to McHenry County College’s 2017 Distinguished Alumni Alumnus Award winners: Bobbi Baehne, Renee Blitek, and Rich Tobiasz. Read all about them and the award by clicking here.
A little teaser: One of the winners is also a story-teller. Another is whiz at social media. [tweetthis]And, the third winner has this business. Wouldn’t you just love to work in such a sweet little cottage? [/tweetthis] It seems like a dream come true, for me. Well, except for the pollen part.
