Gratitude Monday: A moment of Ahhhh…

Today I have moments of silence; moments between moments; moments to contemplate.  Thank you thank you thank you. Ahhh…..

So, with one deep breath of gratitude, here is my list, big things and little, in no particular order.

Another Way Home by Ronne Hatfield, and actually meeting the author. Words we all know, put in an order to make emotions come to life in beauty. I find myself slowing my pace, so as not to finish being with Ronne’s memoir. Thank you Ronne.  I wish I didn’t have to wait to sit with you and discuss your book. Thank you!

twins - 1
I wonder why Mr. R looks taller. is he sitting on his leg?

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””]  Twins turning nine. Mr. R&R. Really? Nine years ago, your mother and I wheeled Miss K and Mr. B (17 this month) around in a double wide stroller.  Testing it to see if we could navigate store aisles and doors. Hooking a platform on back for Miss K, so all five of you could go for walks, into and out of stores, to church and back.  Nine years of learning your personalities, your senses of humors and that Mr. R has a whorl that goes clockwise, and Mr. R has a whorl that goes counter-clockwise. (See what I did there? You still don’t know which is who.) Thank you!

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Yoga. Yes, again this week. Today, I felt like dashing out. How many sun salutations until I’m bored with doing sun salutations.  Then I remembered to be here, be mindful, be blessed.  Ahh… I left my practice feeling buoyant and tall and still and ready. Thank you!

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Metal screw-tight hose clamps and memories of a father gone. Thanks to Dad D, and his box of clamps, found, dusted off, and put to use, my pond filter no longer leaks.  Now that was easy. Thank you!

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] No chip nail polish. I know I need to remove it, but it’s still not chipped, just a quarter-inch of nail grown out from the bottom. Like a silly reverse-french manicure.

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Bitmoji texting with my sister, Bonita. Yes, Michigan lost to Michigan State. Boo-hoo. Yes, the Cubs lost to the Mets. Boo-hoo-hoo. Still, we had fun commiserating with tiny emojis of ourselves.

SQUIRREL IN TREE [icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] More warm weather and long walks. Yes! a Breezy 75°F. Thank you!

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Getting back to an exercise routine. Thank you!

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Old men with senses of humor.  I can’t tell you why, but yes, even that makes me thankful.

[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Hallmark Stores that widen my horizons. CoCo dragged me there. Wow! When did they get so many new and affordable things?  I’ll be back. Thank you CoCo.  Somebody’s gotta love to shop.

What’s on your list this week?  Please share.
