Russell Crowe and Rami Malek: on the edge of your seat performances

Another Monday, another Mystery Movie.

We never know what we’re going to see, only the rating and the length. This one was a doozy. By that I mean, destined for awards, and so stressful, it had my stomach in knots and my chest tight.

The Nuremberg Trials are history, so I can’t really be a spoiler here. Still I won’t reveal much. I kept reminding myself, “It’s a movie.” But. It was real.

Both Russell Crowe and Rami Malek gave stellar performances. I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of emotional toll the roles took on the actors. I know when I’m writing a heart-clutching scene, I feel the emotion. What was it like to get in character and become Hermann Göring? How did Rami Malek become Dr. Kelley? Why was Dr. Kelley’s book, The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, such a failure?

The movie stressed me out so much that I had to stay up way past my bedtime watching comedy, just so I wouldn’t have nightmares.

And still, two days later, I am haunted by the translator’s answer to why we needed a trial, “So it never happens again.”

Mystery Movies are a lot of fun and always a surprise. And they are at a reduced price. Are you a little adventurous? Give Mystery Movies a whirl.
