Another Monday, another Mystery Movie.
We never know what we’re going to see, only the rating and the length.
Okay, this was a couple of Mondays ago, but I just started seeing adds for Eternity as the Thanksgiving rom-com of 2025. I have all my pies baked and my cranberry sauce is in the refrigerator, so I’m taking a little time to share my thoughts.
This time, lots of us milled around afterwards to discuss what we just share on the big screen. When was the last time that happened? Lots of people shed a few tears, and one woman out-and-out bawled. She had to take some time after the movie to collect herself. (I did get misty when people shared.)
So Rom-com? Yes. We did laugh a lot, too. Thank goodness for the comic relief.
Eternity! How would you like to spend your afterlife?
Eternity stars Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, John Early. I love, love, love John Early’s and Da-Vine’s roles. Imagine a guide to help you through the pearly gates. (or whatever.)
First, you arrive in the form you had when you were the happiest while alive. That explains why there are so many 10-year-old boys in heaven.
Next, you must choose which area of heaven you will spend you eternity. Pay attention, cuz there are all kinds of jokes and puns along the way.
Most of the people in the theatre on Monday were mature. We’d all been through stuff. I wonder how well the storyline will resonate with the younger crowd.
Mystery Movies are a lot of fun. And they are at a reduced price. Are you a little adventurous? Give Mystery Movies a whirl.

Now back to thinking all things Thanskgiving!
