It’s gratitude Monday, and I’m so fatigues, a little discouraged, and I feel so behind, [tweetthis]I want to curl up and nap on a raft and float down a river to somewhere unknown. [/tweetthis]
Instead, i’ll take some time to count my blessing.
A strong grandson, Mr. B, who helped CoCo get moved into her apartment. I’m pretty sure, Love-One and I could not have carried the couch and the mattress up those stairs. Okay, maybe we could have, but I am so grateful, I didn’t need to do any of the heavy lifting. Love-One’s Fitbit proclaimed that he climbed 57 flight of stairs, mine 26.
Doreen McGettigan and her incredible journey with Sophie. More on Doreen, author of BRISTOL BOYZ STOMP and THE STRANGER IN MY RECLINER, later this week. She’s become a treasured friend. And so, so kind. I’m truly blessed to have her in my life.
- Everyone who supported CoCo through Facebook. So many [icon name=”smile-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””], [icon name=”thumbs-up” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] and [icon name=”heart-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] made her taller and prouder, and more confident.
- A cool house, a warm bed, and a wonderful companion who shares my happiness and my worries. Yes, that’s Loved-One, and again, the subject is CoCo. “Three months ago, this wasn’t even on our radar, and now it’s happening,” he said as he wiped away a tear. Oh, I love that man.
Gloria Doty, who so graciously shares her tips on getting published. Another blessing from another conference meet-up.
Afternoon light filtering through the leaves. I don’t know why, but dappled sunlight just makes my heart sing.
Tonight CoCo plans to make dinner for us. I plan to stay out of the kitchen, and let her do her thing. Pray for me. It will be difficult. Perhaps one of the reasons I’m so fatigues is that I took so many cleansing breaths to release my desire to control my environment this weekend.
Namaste!
