OMGosh! It’s early evening already and I failed to take a moment to collect my thoughts around gratitude. I’ve enjoyed my blessings since yesterday. [tweetthis]Abundance flows like a fast river this week.[/tweetthis] Wheeee! So much!
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] A sister, who chats with me for an hour on the phone and then says something so silly, so relatable, that I must laugh out loud for a full thirty seconds. I love you Bonita, and I won’t tell the public what you said, but sister, the main reason I laughed so hard, is because I’ve had that shoe on both feet.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] A sister who texts me to schedule lunch, no make that breakfast because she’s “passing by” from Wisconsin to Michigan. Oh Julie, (and your husband, Randy) what a lovely surprise.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] A sister who texted then called to schedule a visit next weekend. Deanna and Mom and what’s that? Another sister, Karen is coming. (Yes, I have a lot of sisters. Maybe Marcia, Cheryl, Vickie will call before the weeks’ over.) Woot! Who could be more blessed.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] A group rate now that I have fourteen grandchildren to attend our annual theatre outing for the holidays. Lucky, lucky me, 14 grandchildren close enough and excited to spend an afternoon with grammy and grampy.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines. Writing, writing, writing. I must pinch myself with gratitude.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] An invitation to go to the zoo with grandchild number 14. How, oh how, could I ever refuse that cute little brown-eyes, curly-headed boy?
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] I got invited to perform in a flute trio. Yes, we’re all amateurs. Yes, it’s a simple song. Still, I’m so thankful to be asked.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Only one day of frost so far this fall. I can hardly believe the mild weather. And I’m loving it.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Vinegar and water. All of my cabinet fronts are washed. My floors and banisters, too. I love that fresh, clean smell.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Diaper Bank Dancing with the Stars. What a wonderful organization, providing diapers to people who can’t afford them. The testimony of young mothers and the elderly was so touching. A beautiful gala event for such a great cause.
I feel like that’s just the beginning. There’s so much to be thankful about today, this week, this month.
