What delights you this week? Here’s a bit of “Kawaii.” Just looking at cute things can help us feel more positive about each other. Awww…a big-eyed kitty. How cute. What delights you today?

Something is in the air pushes me to focus on DELIGHT this year.

As a reminder of what delight can do for us, here’s a bit of inspiration from NPR.

I have a news hot flash for you: Today is World Menopause Day! I’m not sure how to celebrate. I’ll start with a Woot! Woot!

Here’s a few other things that delight me this week:

Sunrises: A beautiful sunrise makes me feel so hopeful. I know the saying goes, “Red sky in morning, sailors take warning,” but I can’t help but delight in a beautiful red line on the horizon that grows to all shades of pinks, oranges, and greys. What a beautiful way to start a trip to visit Mom.

Silly Dreams: The first thing I did was share this dream with Love-One:

Scientists transferred genetic material from a pig into the brains of a men. The humans became more intellligent.

After that success, they considered doing the same with a potato, but an ethical dilema stopped the study. How could they get consent from the potato?

I love waking up to a great laugh. Don’t you?

Mushrooms: Everywhere I go, mushrooms decorate the lawns and flowerbeds. Some, like a tiny village, some, like these, hidden among fall wildflowers. They arrive uninvited, like tiny cities cropping up in the night.

The more I look for things that delight me, the more I find delights. There’s so much in the world that makes me smile.

I hope you find delight this week.

The vaccination rate in my state moved a bit this week, rounding up to 70%. Almost at the bottom rung of herd immunity. Each positive case results in 1 new case, which is what Dr. Fauci’s goal was almost two years ago.

Are we in the clear? I wish I could say yes. But still over 1500 people dying every week. I remain cautiously optimistic.

Click here to see how your state is doing.

My state still has a mask mandate, and for the most part, everyone complies. The state Mom lives in abandoned their mandate at the beginning of the month.

I got my booster. Did you?

I really look forward to the day that I no longer feel the need to update readers on this subject!

I hope this week brings you delight upon delight.
