What delights you this week? Here’s a bit of “Kawaii.” This Christmas kitten really made me smile. What do you think?
Something is in the air pushes me to focus on DELIGHT this year.
As a reminder of what delight can do for us, here’s a bit of inspiration from NPR.
Today is “Put on your own shoes day.”
You could see this day as a metaphor for proudly strutting your stuff or teaching a toddler to put on their shoes. The beauty is that it’s up to you.

Here’s a few other things that delight me this week:
Cans that stack: I spent some time sorting cans at the local food pantry. When did manufacturers start making cans that stack so delightfully? Cans of tuna, piled high like a tower of Legos. Canned chicken the same way. No more jumble of cans in the pantry. Everything stacks so delightfully.
Crowds: Okay, yes, it did seem a bit unusual after nearly two years of isolation. Still, a crowd of shoppers on State Street, was indeed, delightful. I especially like how so many people insisted on protecting themselves with mask. Even though we were outside, we were pretty darned close together.
Christmas: Amidst all the hectic preparations, I love some of the more traditional things: knitting hats for gifts, little “helpers,” decorations that bring back memories, and tinsel on the tree. Remember tinsel. Loved-One loves good, old-fashioned tinsel.

The more I look for things that delight me, the more I find delights. There’s so much in the world that makes me smile.
I hope this week brings you delight upon delight.
