My new book, May His Tribe Increase, is doing well. CeCe and I went to several craft fairs in November and December. What a lot of FUN! Of course, spending time with CeCe is always a blast. Meeting new people and talking to them about my books is invigorating. And we sold so many books, I need to order more before the next fair.
Anne Lamott is so right in her book, Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life. Editing is a slippery eel. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to edit these days. I think of one of my favorite authors, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and wonder what it was like to write with a quill; paper and ink were hard to come by. Did he keep his story in his head, writing and re-writing in his imagination? Or did it just come out oh, so naturally?
Flu, Covid-19, RSV, and norovirus are all circulating here in my hometown. Some bug or another caught me and Loved-One, putting a wet blanket on the tail-end of our holiday. We are on the mend, but still in a bit of a medicine-induced haze. So the most FUN I had in the last 24 hours was watching the first episode of “New Girl.” I laughed as much as I did the first time around. I laughed again when I found this clip for you. FUN!
