Gratitude Monday: Centered and Clean

This morning I tweeted “showered and put on yoga clothes and spoke with the wisest.  Starting out a packed week clean and centered.”  It’s afternoon, I’ve been on the go and I’m still centered, and still thinking about the words of the wisest. That’s enough to be thankful about,

But I have more, in no particular order:

My pressure cooker Well, actually it belongs to Loved-One.  A Christmas gift.  But guess who cooks with it?  Yup.  Returning from yoga, “firefly” pose igniting my inner light, I made the best mac & cheese in less than 10 minutes.  (I tweeted that, too.)

Rain, rain, and some more rain, and a little respite from frying-pan heat. It’s still plenty warm, which I like.

Wikipedia.  Loved-One and I watch several Marvel TV shows.  The latest is Daredevil.  It’s pronounced “Dare Devil.”  I like to say it “Dared Evil.”  A whole lot of evil deeds are going on in Hell’s Kitchen.  Anyways, Wikipedia helped me understand who Foggy, Matt, Karen, Electra are in the Marvel world.  Enough that I could say to Loved-One, sorry Daredevil is not going to kill anyone. Ever.

Gardens. Mine and the farmers’s market.  This time of year I can’t get enough of corn on the cob, tomatoes, green beans, basil, and eggplant.  Yum.  This year, CoCo introduced me to a new Farmers’ Market.  A vendor had nitrate free bacon.  A bit unusual looking, yet with a wonderful apple-cinnamon flavor.  BLT sandwiches for dinner.

A draft of my book cover.  Oh I love this.  The morning I received this from Chad, I woke up thinking we need to add some green to the black and white.  I had been quite convinced that black and white was what the book needed.  That afternoon, the next draft arrived, with green.  There’s still a bit of tweaking to do.  Do you notice anything that needs an adjustment?  What feeling or emotion does this cover evoke for you?  For me, it’s wistful, and earthy.  What do you think?book cover - 1

What’s on your gratitude list this week?  My wish for you as you finish this Monday and approach the rest of the week:  [tweetthis ]May you be centered, clean, and wise as you finish your week.[/tweetthis]

(by the way, I’m also so thankful that the wisest is my mother. I’m so lucky to have her in my life. Lucky that she lived long enough to know how thankful I am. Cuz I haven’t always been this grateful.)
