Here I am at Monday again. I love Mondays.
[tweetthis]Mondays are such a black slate of possibilities stretching out in front of me.[/tweetthis] Plus, this weekend I got to spend time with five of my favorite people: Mr. B, Miss K, Mr. R1, Mr. R2, and Mr. C. Besides being delightful people, they kept me so busy with the here and now, that I had no time to think about yesterday or tomorrow. Ahh…. And now tomorrow is the here and now. So besides the pleasure of weekend guests, which is top on my list, here are a few of the things I pause to give thanks:
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Crazy weather: Sunshine, hail, sunshine, snow, sunshine. Piles of round pellets of hail hiding in the corner of my balcony, while daffodils danced in the sunshine. All this, followed by a day of windy warmness, and today back to winter weather. I do believe I got the pleasure of a full year’s within 48 hours.
[icon name=”smile-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Sturdy daffodils dancing in the sun, wind, rain, and snow. What can be more hopeful and promising that? Perhaps the light blue snow-drops blossoming under the birch. Quiet and discreet, they whisper poetry, while the daffodils sing.
[icon name=”angle-up” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Yoga with Christine. I love what has become a Monday morning routine.
[icon name=”file-text” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Funny auto-correct texts. This morning CeCe sent me a message that she is “do yogurt this morning.” Now that’s really, really busy.
[icon name=”heart” class=”” unprefixed_class=””]Rocking chairs. Ahhhhh…. quiet blessing.
[icon name=”pencil-square-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Newspaper writing. I just love everyone I meet through my free-lance writing work. So many interesting lives. So many fascinating stories.
[icon name=”desktop” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] A (somewhat) clean desk. I’ve had this on my list for a couple of weeks. Now I see the surface. Yay!
