From the daily NaPoWriMo prompt: write a new poem starting with the first line from an old poem. I chose the first line from Arthur de la Mare’s poem, “Silver.”
Renewal
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Waxing to Full,
Waning to New,
Quiet testament of time passing:
Pain conquered,
Journeys taken,
Joys shared.
Evening’s gentle reminder,
Tomorrow’s memories, await a new day.
