Love, love, love the warmer weather. Hate, hate, hate all this brown and grey. So this week, I looked close for signs of spring. And I tried out a couple of snap-on lens for my iPhone 6.
Looking at my dogwood through a “fish eye.” Oh my, I see green and yellow, and buds beginning to pop.
Just a regular old photo, no retouching.
And zooming in for a closer look. This took a little while to focus because I had to stand really still.
And now the snap-on macro lens. Wow! I had a little learning to do here because the focus features on the iPhone camera failed to yield anything but a blurry photo. The trick is to adjust the distance manually until things come in focus. I should have remembered that from my microscope days. A tripod would probably be helpful. It’s amazing how shaky a steady hand can seem.
