I worked all weekend, so I sorta feel like today should be my day off. It’s not. Wha-wha! I’m so happy to have a fresh start with a new contract. Yay!
Why did I upgrade to the new OS this weekend? When did Apple get so bad about releasing buggy upgrades? My mail no longer worked. Wha-Wha! I tried to troubleshoot it on my own. I did an internet search. Yup, it’s not just me. Several sites had work-arounds. They didn’t work. Apple acknowledged the importance of fixing the problem and promised to put their resources behind a fix.
Drat it all.
Cold weather and wind blew, reminding me that winter will be here sooner than I’d like.
Mom called and said she changed her plans and decided to stay home, rather than visit this weekend.
I gave CeCe a call, just to talk. Okay, because I worried a bit. Just a bit of intuition. I interrupted her dinner. She got testy; not the first time in recent weeks.
I shut down and went to bed.
[tweetthis]This morning’s yoga was all stiffness and falling down. No balance. [/tweetthis] Too much time sitting on my sit-bones. Wha-Wha! So where’s the gratitude? Everywhere. If I stop and look.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] CeCe joined me for a walk and yoga this morning. I know something is bugging her, but she’s not ready to share. She apologized for being huffy. We’re good.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Lots of people at the gym waved and said hello. How wonderful that I’m getting to know so many people.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] My email miraculously healed itself. Everything is back on track.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Loved-one reviewed the contract I created through the help of on-line templates. He pointed out some really good things I neglected to include. I’m so lucky to have such a good friend. His practicality and thoughtfulness is the best grounding gift that I could never think to ask for, in a million years.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] The ability to work from home. I visited the new client last week. I forgot how much of a time-sink commuting can be. Although I did get a chance to listen to a lot of radio.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] NPR. My goodness, I learn so much from public radio.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Yoga. I love what it does for my mind, body, and spirit. I leave feeling taller and braver.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Three grandchildren going to Homecoming Dance. One in a kilt, one in a purple tie, one like a princess with her own style. I am blessed to have such lovely young adults in my life.
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Coffee with cream in the morning. Need I say more?
[icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Mom said she would come for my birthday. The birthday that happened seven months ago. I had short phone conversation with my Sister D. She asked how the business of my novel is going and invited me on a trip to visit our family’s original homestead. How lucky I am, that we can connect like that.
[tweetthis][icon name=”coffee” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Late blooming flowers. Reminders that life hold on in beautiful ways. All around me, if I just look.[/tweetthis]
