Hey, That Stings!

You probably know by now that I care about the environment; I love science.  I’ve got a thing for bugs: the kind with legs and the kind you can only see with a microscope.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee on the endangered list earlier this year.  They  estimate that “The economic value of pollination services provided by native insects (mostly bees) is estimated at $3 billion per year in the United States.” Bumble bees are among the most important pollinators of crops and almost the only pollinators of tomatoes.
