It must be the warmer weather. Or perhaps it’s the brighter than bright forsythia against a still-brown yard and grey sky. Everything seems so hopeful under the damp chill. For one thing, the ACA was not repealed. There’s lots of room for improvement in healthcare. Still, I’m all for moving forward, rather than backward. I[tweetthis] am hopeful that, just maybe, we can turn the corner and leave partisanship behind and usher in a new wave of coöperation and consensus building. [/tweetthis]It’s time, don’t you think?
Here’s a few more things that fill me with happiness this week:
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] I have a temporary full-time job, doing technical writing for a start-up biologic company. Yay! I’m not sure what I like best: a) I’ll be problem solving; b) the manufacturing employee bacteria, c) I can take the train to work, or d) the name of the company is close to my own.
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Good television. The Path makes me think, and The Mick makes me laugh.
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Made from scratch pizza. Pizza dough in the bread maker (yes, we really use ours,) sauce from home canned juice, dried basil from last summers garden… Yum!
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] A chance to practice my wedding cake skills for Miss E’s birthday. She’s just 17, not the bride.
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Playing my flute again a church. It’s pretty amazing how much easier it is now that I can see better. Can hardly wait to get my second eye fixed.
[icon name=”sun-o” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Three brilliant forsythia bushes, all blooming in harmony. This spring is the first year they are all brilliant and all blooming at the same time. [tweetthis]There’s something about the way the branches reach out wild and independent that brings joy to my heart.[/tweetthis]
Please share what makes you smile this week. Your thoughts always make me remember more reasons to give thanks.
